: Hunley Claims XNR DIRT Championship
The XNR Outlaw Series unloaded at Eldora this week for the last event of the Series.


 Jake Thompson would start from the top spot, leading the first handful of laps, before Chris Hunley slipped under him to take the top spot.

Rod Weston, who was tied with Hunley for the points lead coming into this event, was marred in traffic, and was never able to work his way to the front.

Hunley went on to take the win in Heat 1.

The start of the Heat 2 found Points contenders Hunley and Weston making up the front row. Hunley and Weston were starting a fierce battle for the lead and the Championship until the lapped car of Jim Russel would get into Weston, knocking him out of contention for the win, and the Championship.

Hunley would start to fade as the race neared completion, allowing Jeff Fugate and Ron Simpson to get by him.

Fugate would hold on for the win, with Ron Simpson on his heals. Hunley would finish 3rd, clinching the XNR Dirt Championship.

3 Outlaw : Hunley rallies in second Heat
3 Outlaw
After just losing the points lead to Rod Weston, Chris Hunley would start the second heat from the last row, while Weston started from the outside of row one

Hunley managed to snake his way through an early incident, and found himself running 2nd behind Weston, when Weston got tangled up with a lapped car. Hunley snuck through on the inside to take the lead and Weston fell to third, and that is where they finished. When the Points were tallyed, Weston and Hunley were tied again, with just the 2 heat races next week at Eldora left.

31 Outlaw : Weston takes Point lead after 1st heat
31 Outlaw
Rod Weston and Chris Hunley would show up for the first heat race at Bakersville Speedway tied for 1st place in the Points.

Hunley would muscle his way to the front early, But back in the pack, Rod Weston was on the move. Weston would pick his way through the traffic, while an on track altercation would relegate Hunley to the back. Weston Battled with Brian Macklin for the Victory in the closing laps, and was able to hang on for the win and the top spot in the Standings. Hunley would finish 3rd.

68mod #68 Bill Schneider wins again at Stafford Speedway.

#31 Rod Weston would take the pole with an impressive 20.054 lap.

Rod would lead most laps (29) with the #59 Herman Reiss right behind (24) but Schneider would only need to lead 7 to take win.

25 Outlaw : Simpson pulls out a Victory at Dakota
25 Outlaw The Nights Second heat at Dakota saw Chris Hunley and Rod Weston starting from the front row. The two would have a intense battle, until contact dropped them both towards the rear of the field.

Ron Simpson would have himself in position to capitolize on Weston and Hunley's wreck, allowing him to lead the final 11 laps of the event, and capture his first Victory in the XNR Dirt Series.
